Barley the Lurcher, His First Pub visit

Today Mr.R suggested we take Barley, our rescue dog, to the pub.
As a lover of beer, I wasn't going to refuse.

We've only had our dog for a month or so, and this was his first visit to a pub.
We were hoping Barley would be well behaved in the pub, and thankfully he was.

The pub has a blackboard outside with 'Dogs Welcome' written on it, and the welcome was very good indeed.
As soon as we walked in we ordered a couple of pints of beer. A Black Sheep for MR.R and a Camerons Trophy Special for me.

Straight away the barman asked if the dog would like some scraps.
Barley never refuses food, so we said yes.

As we were sitting chatting and supping our beer the barman came over to our table with a napkin full of beef scraps for Barley.
Barley was most impressed.

Our first visit to a pub with Barley was a success, especially for him as he throughly enjoyed his beef treat.
The pub was a typical British pub, a proper pub, with very welcoming and friendly staff.
All three of us enjoyed our brief visit, we left happy, and we will definitely go there again soon.
